questions on shooting
Good evening, gentlemen: I'm fairly new to the forum. I did a couple of posts months ago to get some ID info on my gun, but nothing since then. I inherited what I believe to be a 1915 P-08which was a WWII "bring back". All numbers match and I don't believe this would be what you would classify as your "average shooter". I don't know when it was last shot or if it even has been since the end of WWII, but I'd really like to know if it works. I was concerned about the risks of using modern ammunition in a gun this old, but from what I've read here, it appears I'd be safe using the Winchester 115 gr. 9mm. That still leaves me wondering what I need to do to get it ready for shooting and what risks are involved, such as breaking something, when I do finally shoot it. I would appreciate any advice. I sure don't want to damage a weapon of this quality out of ignorance. Thanks.....Marv
