Thanks for the help. I'm also kind of stuck trying to figure out how to calculate the $ value of historical significance. I've looked around but can't find any past auctions of Gen. Breckinridge's pistols for reference

I paid about $5k for everything so maybe I'll just use that amount as a compromise. It's a bit high for strict gun value but I suspect a bit low considering the historical significance.
