I am a novice when it comes to Lugers, but I'm sure this is not an original barrel. I am just curious who, why, and when these barrels were made. It does have a 1:16 twist. I do not plan on putting it on a gun. I will probability end up putting it on GB.
Ron, you are correct. The wood is screwed the the barrel.
