Dave, Civilian guns are less desirable than military for the most part. I don't like to hear white grips...Generally speaking these usually equate to replacement franzite types. Not good. His 90% or yours? His might be more like 80-85% Either way...

I guess a lot depends on why you want such a thing. Shooter? Just a 38H example?

I would say let him say what he wants and if it's above $300 I would reasses my desire for this type of pistol.

If your forced to make an offer I would start at $200 with a lot depending on grip originality.

If I am not mistaken they did make an early high polish 38h. These have an almost turn of the century Colt type blue and they usually have light scratches all over as the blue is fragile. White grips kick this in the head though..

Gunbroker is a good place to price these..Take a look there..I didn't see any civilian ones today though.
