Default Re: Mauser InterArms Reputation

Pronto, Mario,

Thanks for the great info on Mauser lugers. I apologize for thinking these units, imported by Interarms, were "repro's" or "replica's".

I am still looking to try to buy my 1st. Mauser, from the 1960-1970's manufacturer date. Hopefully I can find one that is still NIB.

I am in a bit of shock at the market price of such 1960-1970 units; pricing, in the USA, seems to range from $ 850 to $ 1050.00 for NIB units.

This is good news for all smart luger owners that picked all these up years ago fairly inexpensively. And as long as luger "newbies" such as me buy at high prices, the smart guys holding lots of these NIB units they bought years ago have their "investments" grow...

I do understand that a 1960-1970 dated Mauser has no collector value yet, and may never... I plan to make my 1st. luger a range gun that I can have fun with and learn how to disassemble, clean, assemble, etc. If I get hooked on lugers, I will plan to buy a collector-value piece in the future, possibly from Ralph's place in Arizona...

Again, thanks for your help...

Pete
