Marc,

I am afraid the spring is not to be found. I even used a super magnet hoping to snag it.

I checked out the web sites you mentioned and according to the prices they are asking this is easily a $3000 pistol. I am pretty sure my friend will not buy it for his son-in-law at that price.

I will take it to him tomorrow and see what he says. If he does not want it I will then offer it here. Either way I'd say I owe the forum and will pay once it is sold.
