Default Is this one worth it?

Hi all,

First off, hello! I've recently become interested in obtaining a shooter grade Luger. I have minimal research so far into Lugers. I'm interested in obtaining one because of the Lugers' unique mechanism and history. I'm interested in shooting about 50 rounds a month out of it.

I happened to stumble upon one for sale. It's priced at $900. Blueing seems to be fair, the bore is dark but doesn't look too badly pitted if at all, although I'd have to go back in with a light to get a better idea.

The top of the receiver is stamped "1917." The parts are mismatched......with the stamps I saw it appears to be DWM and Mauser parts. There doesn't look to be any apparent pitting or damage at all to the outside metal surfaces, though I wasn't able to take the grips off. It comes with an aftermarket magazine.

So, what do you guys think? What should I go back in and look at/be concerned with? Finally, what do you think would be a fair price? I saw two shooter grade Lugers on Simpson Ltd for $895, and everything I've ever compared on Simpson seems to be priced fairly high. So, let me have it.

Thanks for any help you can give. I'm very interested developing a love affair with this awesome pistol.

Regards,
Tyler
