Default Re: Ohio Gun Show

Heinz: I am a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Assoc. And the show you attended in Wilmington was one of the best one's we have ever had. By the way the Dealers guns you were looking at belonged to Fred Fiet from Illinois. Generally I sit with him during the shows to rest my feet. There were other luger dealers there also such as Doug Smith from FGS. Your guess on there being about 50 lugers was a bit on the low side. I would say the show had at least 2 to 300 lugers or more if you were to include all that were available from all the dealers. And yes, they are priced probably from $500.00 to $15,000.00 or more. I was lucky enough to pick up a Crown/Anchor Portugese '06 I have been looking for - for sometime and got it pretty reasonable. No mag, but then I just went over to Freds table and bought the 9mm script mag that is correct for that gun. Anyways I am glad you got to attend and hope you join. It is a wonderful organization and very exciting to belong to such a fantastic group. The shows used to be in Cleveland but because of goofy Cleveland City ordnances against gun shows we had to move. It is an hour and half further but worth every extra mile. And by the way like myself Fred and I are CADA and NAPCA members also. Fred is chairman or president of CADA. Another wonderful organization to belong to. Also at the OGCA meetings, Bob Simpson another great dealer in Lugers sometimes attends and he also adds to the pot additional lugers to look at and drool over of course. If you decide you want to join the OGCA it is easy and well worth your time and costs very little money. Just the money you will spend on Lugers is all that it will cost you.
