was this an east german rework luger ?
number is in an odd location
perhaps the axle worked loose and then toggle slapped down with the protruding axle between the rear toggle ear and the receiver top mating surface ? maybe receiver would have had some matching damage in that case.

on ebay years ago someone offered a rear toggle that had broken in half at the center of the flat area and looked like was on the line for the coupling link to toggle pin
and someone bought it.
