The attractive features of your LP-08 are that it has the original finish and it has all matching serial numbers except for the magazine.
You can always clean those rust spots off with some oil and patience.
I would be hesitant to shoot it since if you break just one of those serially numbered parts, you have reduced the value of the piece by about half. You can read on this Forum that some of the collectors are fearless when it comes to shooting an all matching piece. It is a matter of personal choice and preference. I happen to avoid shooting the all matching ones.
You have already got some value estimates, and I do not really disagree with any of them. For me personally; however, I think $1,500 would be on the "low side" for this one. I think an estimate of nearer but still under $2,000 would be my own "ballpark estimate." If I were buying it, I think I'd try to get it for $2,000 or less.
I think it is a nice one and very desirable. (Just my humble opinion.)
