There have been enough posts from members liking M1 Garands I thought you might enjoy one of my last Garand projects. This is a picture of a five digit Springfield Armory Garand which was a rusted piece of junk receiver when I started on it. The stock is a Macon Georgia Walnut stock which I fitted and finished. I'd rather build a rifle from a receiver than buy a complet rifle, everyone to his own likes and dislikes. I'm sure if I get involved in Lugers I'll try to build one. I know that's crazy but I have found the best way for me to learn how some thing works is to build one. I'm sure I'll need a lot of help to build a Luger. Garands are a piece of cake but the parts are much bigger.

Bill
