Default Dwm, 1916

DWM, 1916 dated, serial number 6969a, long sear bar, pistol all matching, but not the magazine. Magazine has no markings or number, but is marked "Germany", so is not original to the pistol. It is a pretty much pedestrian P.08 with all markings one would normally expect to see. However, it does have one mark not normally seen.

Note the "Erfurt" style eagle stamped next to the serial number. It is suggested that this is a non standard location for what is known as the "Prussian Trigger Guard Eagle", see Jan Still's "Central Powers Pistols" pages 257-260. Comments, discussion is invited.
