I like all Mauser C96's...Yours is in better condition that my C96...

The grips are not grooved...but have grommets for the screw...Do they have any numbers or symbols on the inner surfaces??? I've seen pics of checkered C96 grips but never plain...

The cutter marks on the rear square are quite coarse...Does it have the Mauser script & address on the other side???

How does the abutment behind the bolt lock look??? Nice & straight, or bulged???

I've always been what the English call a "knobbly" kind of guy...I don't like machinery that has been "styled" or "packaged" but rather things that look like what they are...Examples are the Series 1 E-Type 6-cyl engine; the Norton Atlas engine/gearbox/magneto; pretty much any 1980's Harley-Davidson Sportster; the Lister sports car body (usually fitted with either a Jag or Vette engine)...In pistols, the P08, P38, Nambu Type 14...and the Mauser M1896...
