Default EBay WW2 Holster- Real?

Hi Holster fundi's

I live in South Africa and recently acquired a WW2 luger holster on Ebay for $200 for my 1914 Luger pistol. Before I purchased it, I enquired from the seller (apparently a well respected EBay seller - Ralph McLeod) to confirm its authenticity to which he replied "I've been dealing in these things for about 40 years so I know what I'm talking about!" or words to that effect.
NB: There are NO legible markings on this holster except for some red ink or something on the inside of the top flap! The holster also has a strange odor which I can't identify and has had some work done to the straps on the rear! Ralph says it had a grease covered Walther P38 in it for some time.
Please comment on these pics which are the ones posted by him as I am anxious that I may have bought a copy.
