When I was in Belgium; the Waloon part (they speak dutch), I asked the lady at the Bakerie (bakery), what they called doughnuts; as they had some (most places didn't; its an american thing).


She very slowly and a bit loudly said; D O U G H N U T S and laughed; which we did too, my entire family uses that as an inside joke, if we don't know how to pronounce something, we say, D O U G H N U T S....
