375 U-boats were commissioned during WW1

183 U-boats lost during 1914-1918.

This makes about half of them survived in one way or another. That's one heck of a lot of Navy Lugers either way!

I am not quite sure how many Lugers were issued to each U-boat...Must have been 6-8 I suspect.

I agree with George..Many made it back to port into the hands of the mutineers and ground forces.
