Got an email from the seller. He had this to say:
The bore is at least very good. Shiny, but looks like it's been shot a bunch. I've only used a jag and a patch on it, so it may clean up. No pitting, etc.
The serial number on the gun is 814XX. There is no letter prefix (which I seem to remember made it odd). I tried researching it but got nowhere fast.
The only thing not matching are the grips, not sure if they're replacements but they look good and they could be originals.
Does it mean anything that there is no letter? Also can you tell when the piece was made?
