If there are any firearms in Cuba, they are certainly not "floating around" A totalitarian goverment's first task is to round up all firearms from the populace. Being caught with a firearm in Cuba means at least a year or more in a labor camp.

There will be certainly many vintage arms in goverment stockpiles. I have toured the Museum of the Revolution and there are large displays of vintage WW2 firearms and weapons up though the FN FAL, etc. there.
