When re-assembling the magazine it is best to find a second pin and push it psrtially into the two parts.

Then turn the assembly over then press or drive the finish pin folly into the magazine.

This allows one to be shure that the pin is in alignment at both ends before fully driving it in.

"An old steel workers trick called, "Drifting it into allignment". The temporary pin is called a bullet or drift pin"
