Tom, Thanks for the tip! I have been working on it with the grips removed as that's the only way to access the mag release spring.
The catch is a mystery..I cannot find any burrs on either it or the frame. It tends to hang up while moving in and out of it's hole. The spring is questionable at best. It appears to have lost some of it's travel.
Something to play with if I can ever get time away from my holster repairs!
