Probably the bidder is also from California. Many sellers have "If you live in CA, please don't bid" clause in the text. If the seller is in that state, there is no such requirement. I bet it's a gun cycling inside the system. Under that assumption, this pre-Lehman-Brothers-crashing price makes much more sense.
