A guy came in with a cased set of dueling pistols that "had been brought from Europe in the 1700s by his family". They were maked "Made in Spain" and there was an owner's manual under the lining of the case. He had been "told" they were worth $5,000.00. When we pointed this out, he accused us of trying to rip him off.
