He survived being torpedoed on the USS Thomas Stone, walked and fought from

Sicily

Normandy

Northern France

Ardennes-Alsace

Rhineland

Central Europe and almost all the way to Berlin before he was taken out of action by an 8mm Mauser round through the leg.


We owe them all a debt we can never repay...
