Hi Lonnie,

There should be NO combinations of salt and rust blue on these models. In 1937 there is a combination, but not in the 1940/42 models. If it is a combination, then it is not correct. This 1940/42 can have either a 122 code magazine or the blue rolled magazine. An interesting point on these 1940/42 Lugers is the size of the serial numbers on the receiver, they vary in size for moderate digits to a slightly larger size. The magazine serial number should be the same size as the right receiver serial numbers.
