I would suggest that first and foremost you purchase some reading material! One book to get you started is Luger Tips. It's a $15.00 book so very affordable and will give you the basics on Lugers. They sell on e bay. See below.

Regarding price, I guess it all depends on how hard you look. I do much traveling for my job and never pass a gun shop without stopping. I also network with friends and get many leads that way as well.
