no, it doesn't work that way for a non serial numbered magazine for a gun, perhaps a extra hundred or so, but not $500.....

and is real would increase the amount by $400-$500 but not just a bakelite one.
Be advised that a nice bakelite is worth $150-$250 depending on condition, so your value would be increased by what you paid. although you could sell the "wrong" type for $75-$125, depending on condition etc.
