The only real difference is the barrel length and the Erma sets were available with a single barrel length. In the 1970s Mauser also experimented with Erma subcalibre sets for the Mauser Parabellum, which in turn was based on the 1906/1929 models.
The Erma barrel had a standard length of 186mm and the only part that needed to be changed was the adaptor sleeve between the gun barrel and the insert. It wouldn't have been a problem to convert a standard set to any given barrel length under 186mm.
The barrels were available for both the .30 luger and the 9mm versions of the Parabellum.
