Although the photography is not great, I see subtle differences in the shape of the grip safety when compared to the few digital photos I have of the Norton Gallery .45 and former Sidney Aberman pistol...<br />

It also appears (in the photo at least) that there is a Mauser-type hump at the rear of the grip frame...<br />

The odds of a pistol in this condition to come out of the woodwork after nearly 100 years are too high for me to believe that this is an original... (Of course I would love for someone to prove me wrong and tell me that several crates of 50 each of these have been found at the old Springfield Arsenal, and all of the crates are marked U.S. Army/Hold pending further testing! If you are going to dream, dream BIG)<br />
