I don't know anything about the holster but $1000 for a "tastefully" plated all-matching artillery seems very fair. (at least in my neck of the woods.)
From what I can see the gun doesn't appear to have been heavily buffed before plating and the plating looks be quality work still in good condition.
I actually kinda like the two-tone look. I'd give $1000 for it.
(A quick poke around the internets shows that Ron is correct, that holster appears to be just what he says and does indeed appear to quite valuable separate from the Luger.)
