Have your holster repaired only by Jerry Burney (Lugerholsterrepair)... He is the ONLY one in the world I would let touch a collectible holster ... what future generations of Luger enthusiasts will do once he is gone is probably cry....

Your Holster is certainly a collectible! Put no creams or ANYTHING on it... keep it clean with an old shoe buffing brush, but use NO polish on it either.

Don't store the gun in the holster! Maintain holster shape with bubble wrap, and put some folded inside the belt loops to keep them from going flat. Keep the mag pouch with a cheap magazine in it to maintain the shape, or shape a piece of wood to fit it would be even better. Don't use the closure strap, you will wear it out... remember it is almost 100 years old! Just leave the buckle/strap undone. Keep the leather in a cool dry place.

Your Luger and holster will only appreciate in value as time passes. The value estimate is probably low for your rig... I recommend you KEEP it.

Welcome to the Lugerforum.
