AARON, a light box is basically what you describe. The one I saw was a box with holes in it (pegboard) with a piece of transulcent (not clear, so it will break up and diffuse the light)white plastic that has been roughed up so it doesnt reflect light as well. It has two bulbs below the plastic shelf and one above it. It has a hole in the top where you put a camera lens through. You put the gun on the shelf and focus and shoot, not leaving the lights on long as they will quickly heat it up. Also it was told that if the camera has a timer shutter to use it to reduce even the minor vibrations of pushing the button to trigger the shutter. I saw the plans for one in the fourth addition of Gun Collector's Digest the same addition that had "1300 Grams of Rust" the miraculous full restoration of a C96 Mauser Pistol that was basically trash by the Restoration Wizard Gale Morgan. A great issue, I got mine on ebay in an auction. ~Thor~
