So what else did you get?

Davis' book is okay, but has some inaccuracies in it, not a bad guide, but don't use it as an all encompassing book.

If on the left, you'd see a proof of a Crown N, on the right for a military you would see acceptance markings and proofs. Pictures would help a lot on a question like this, as its just a guess on our part.

BTW, it is Luger, as in Georg Luger
