For those would like to know, I replaced the trigger. What I really needed was Trigger Tuning device as mentioned in an earlier post
http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=21041
It seems that the Trigger Lever would not retract or swing back far enough to allow the sear bar Plunger to move fully forward for the reset after the first shot. My tests indicated that every re-set failed, not just the first 2 or 3 shots
I have in the past adjusted the Trigger levers by bending slightly, but I didn't have any replacement Triggers levers (in case I broke it). So replacing the trigger was the safest course of action on a gun I didn't own.
I have found that some of the Trigger Levers are repo's and seem to be made out of a brittle pot metal, rather than good quality carbon steel and they don't take to kindly to bending.
Tom you are right, I could have tried and replaced the Plunger Spring which might be a little weak. If he continues to have a problem, that will be next.
Thank you everyone for your help
