I suggest you leave the front site where it is until you shoot the gun. If it is dead on at this setting you will have saved the gun an unecessary pounding.
Sights are rarely messed with after they leave the factory since they are set dead on at manufacture and this could mean off center. Try it first. You can always go back and adjust it
Are the staking marks on the front sight lined up? If so, all the more reason to not adjust it.
