my uncles luger
when myself and older brother were about 12 [i think ]we used to behave when we went to my uncles because he would let us look at his luger, he was working on the railways as a drivers helper and they used to stop the train in the middle of the forth rail bridge and help to throw piles and piles of captured weapons into the sea , the luger fell onto the tracks and the armed guards didnt see him put it into his coat, but i remember two things,firstly the barrell was cut in halfand the magazine spring was covered in really thick white grease . lost touch years ago but that was my first encounter with a luger . cheers
