Blah, blah, you guys get too involved in this discussion. In the 1920's etc, folks called pistol magazines "clips" or magazines.

Who cares and why do y'all get all unbent about it?

Clip or magazine, do you know what the poor bloke is asking?

Now, when my wife went into a general dept store looking for a toy for her neices in England, she asked if they had any stuffed animals....

Tac will immediatly get this, but to Americans, a stuffed animal is a toy, in England, a "stuffed" animal is a taxidermied animal. The lady behind the counter got all wide eyed and said, "maam, we DO NOT have those here"!

The younger lady behind the counter understood and started to laugh and Terry realized that the correct terminology was "plush toy".

"Seperated by only a common language" and that is whether here in Amerika or the UK.

Gun owning aside, I miss England and have a huge desire to make it over to see Scotland again

Besides, a "gun" shoots projectiles as large as 155 or even larger on a ship, while a rifle, pistol or revolver shoots the rounds we are usually used to. And then it is not rounds, nor 'bullets, but cartridges, unless you are talking shotguns, then its shells.
