I believe the Model 92F uses the same lockup system as the P-38 (which is simply a slight modification of the lockup of a Mauser C-1896).
There have been problems with both cracking slides with hot ammo. I cracked the slide of a byf 43 (Mauser) P-38 by using some "gunshow" reloads my Dad had purchased. Oh well, it was his P-38.
