Many thanks for these precious informations ! You confirm what George Anderson said on the Yan Still Forum about my question. I presume that this 114th Regiment was not the most prestigious of the Imperial Army..Also, looking at the poor guys on the photo, I think the Ersatz Battalion was probably a school !
