It's a late '70s (HI code) production Interarms import. PPKS (Polizei Pistole Kurz or Short Police Pistol) is the designation or Model. The "S" indicates that it's a 1968 compliance long grip frame. Basically a PPK slide on a PP frame. These are top of the line and great carry pistols, worth as much as the Luger , if not more.

BTW, 9mm Kurz is known in the U.S. as .380 ACP. Ammo is relatively inexpensive and easy to find. A very good self defense caliber.
