Hi Don! The best way,is to remove the pin, bottom, and spring, and then place the mag on a piece of aluminum with the follower button installed and the follower button side down. Then you line up the access hole, (now facing up) with the follower end you are trying to rivet. talk a pin punch, (a small radius on the end helps) and give the end a good tap with a small hammer, the aluminum will keep the checkered side from becoming deformed, yet allows enough support to make the end of the follower button upset and become tight in the follower!
