Mike, Howard is correct. The X is not an X but a swastica with little detail. A lazy die maker perhaps.
There were Eagle K-F-C&L. I have yet to discover what exactly these letter designations stand for dispite discussions on this and other Boards.
I have a beautiful loading tool with the Eagle F, it is fun just to look at such a rare thing.
Eagle L seems to be the most common.
