The trick with these things is telling the difference between the Rogak, which was awful, and the GB, which was generally pretty good functionally. The Rogak is the stainless steel one. The Steyr GB was not a commercial success, and so the gun is uncommon at least in the US, and i suspect everywhere except maybe Pakistan. I remember everyone wanting one for the 18 round magaine, but then balking at the huge pricetag.

The gun uses a gas delayed blowback design, which doesn't work well when dirty. I heard that the gun was a competitor in the US Army M9 trials, but was dropped early on due to functioning problems. The gun was eventually beaten to death by the Beretta 92, Glock 17, and Sig P226. I am not aware of any reason to pay a premium for one, unless you really want something weird.
