That is much better, 122nd Infantry Regiment 12 Company weapon #5. Approx. 5% of 1916 LP.08s were unit marked, re: Jan Still's Imperial Lugers.

In 1916 the 122nd Fussilier Regt was attached to the 105th Infantry Division.

The 105th Div. was on the Eastern front in 1916.

Bulgaria, Macedonia and in Galicia: Lost 26 officers and 1165 men and moved to Courland.

In 1917 the 122nd Fus. Regt. was transferred to the 243rd Infantry Division on the Western Front.

Aisne.

Meuse Hill, where the 122nd had more heavy losses.

Meuse left bank

In 1918 took part in the Battle of Picardy where 122nd lost 207 men and was withdrawn.

Third Battle of the Somme, and lost 400 to POWs.
