A friend has just bought a 1911 ERFURT with all matching numbers for $1000.00 and is wondering if he got a good deal. Also would appreciate any information and comments about the gun

Toggle inscription - 44 Erfurt with proof similar to # 18 (see picture)

Grip Safety - not present
Stock lug - not present
Caliber - 9mm
Grip Type - appear to be plastic
Thumb Safety - Safe in foreard position
Markings - The marking found in the picture above of the trigger guard appears only there. It appears to be a crown over a fancy "H".
The markings found on the right side of the chamber pictured above is also found seven other times on the gun. It is similar to # 18 but is a crown over a "d" or "c".
Barrel length - 4 inches
Marking on the edge of the extractor - similar tp #18 and the number 44
Front sight - adjustable left and right no markings at all
Rear sight - the last to numbers of th;e s/n (44) and a marking similar to number 18 mentiones above
Magazine - wood tip with no s/n
Percentage of bluing - at least 95 % very very good
Perventage of hte strawig - at least 95 % very very god
Condition of bore - very good
