It doesn't work that way in the USA, any pistol with a stock attached becomes a 'short barreled rifle (SBR)" and thus is illegal; big time. That said, certain stocks have been exempted from SBR status, The B-T is one of them (and Pete for gosh sakes, I had a heck of a time figuring what B-T meant, till I clicked the link )
