Bill,

On reproduction locking lever springs, the pin which goes through to the bottom of the frame ahead of the trigger guard is slightly too large for the hole. It will stick every time, and break either when you attempt to force it farther in, or try to remedy your mistake and take it back out. If there is any resistance at all when you begin to insert it, take some emery paper or crocus cloth and reduce its diameter slightly.
