Hi Jeeptrailing...

Welcome to the Lugerforum.

I hope you enjoy your Luger and TM-08 drum magazine.

Just a caution to someone new to Lugers... with a rare accessory...

The trommelmagazine is legal to use with any Luger pistol (in most states except those having laws against hi-capacity magazines---If the CA in your location field is California, perhaps some other member who lives there can advise you...).

In the event that you have a shoulder stock, it is NOT legal to attach even an original shoulder stock to this pistol, which is often an accompanying accessory to a trommelmagazine...

To attach a shoulder stock to this pistol would be a federal felony under the National Firearms Act of 1934. To do so constructs a "short-barreled-rifle" or SBR (shoulder arms under 16" barrel).

The only way to legally do so is to register the gun with the ATF as an SBR and pay a tax of $200.00 BEFORE you attach the stock.

Depending on which ATF office you are dealing with, some agents consider the possession of both a Luger pistol and shoulder stock to be "constructive intent" to make an SBR... and could cause you much grief if you were to be observed using a shoulder stock.

Be careful with your new treasure... it is a beauty.
