I think all the comments in the three threads that Ed Tinker has provided are valid. Depending on your circumstances, you might also want to consider using a "Golden Rod" dehumidifier. These are golden tubes that come in several lengths, and contain a low wattage heating element. When plugged in, the heat tends to drive out the moisture in whatever container you may be using to store your collection. I would also be careful about using just any plastic bag to store a firearm, since the chemicals in some of them can spot the bluing over a period of time. Instead, consider using special plastic bags designed just for storing handguns, and specail chemical impregnated paper to wrap them in. All three of these products are available from Brownells, but probably other sources too. I would be real careful about laying guns on oil soaked rags or cloth, due to the possibility of spontaneous combustion.
