It was a 42 byf in nearly new condition with a nice holster in the same condition and two matching magazines. It cost me $35.
That first Luger is long gone, part of a series of trades over the next three years that ended up with a 1908 Commercial that I still have. The year 1957 was a monumental year for me, I graduated from high school, bought my first Luger, bought my first car a 1930 Model A Ford Sport Coupe, and met my wife-to-be. Although the Luger is gone, I still have the Model A and Sarah has stuck with me all these years. Two out of three ain't bad!
