Would there be a period after the 3 diget number on that tool? That number, 484 appears from the photo the only numbers on it, also no letters indicating a unit marking. If it is a Weimar police serial number to a Luger, there would be no period.

Just curious, as I own a few of Weimar police numbered tools and none have a period.
